My brain hurts from too much studying. :) KKristinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06580934714163543582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426765907755945845.post-72166070931324210412009-02-26T09:56:00.000-08:002009-02-26T09:56:00.000-08:00I know I overstride like hell. After a long break recently my hamstings can't come to life and can't handle this overstriding, although before this was all I could count on (because my stride turn-over is so low count). I am trying to shorten it, but boy, it's hard! May be one day, when you and Mike are, like, after something crazy and ready to go for 10 min/mile on road (or even slower on trail), we get to hook up and you give me ideas. I run alone...who is to advise me? Thanks for giving food for thoughts though.Olgahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00493291972954387932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426765907755945845.post-78407282714535937792009-02-26T00:49:00.000-08:002009-02-26T00:49:00.000-08:00Great post- thanks for sharing. I've been battling a similar problem with glut medius and minimus and TFL too i think - a whole constellation of annoyed muscles in conjunction with weak glut maximus. i tried core strengthening exercises and shortening my stride, but it's only getting better now that i'm adding in some hip work. This link is to an article by a weight lifter guy, but i think his advice is really good. see http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance_repair/get_your_butt_in_gear There is a part two as well.

Glad you've found a way to fix your problem. And good luck at C2M!

CynthiaDrs.
